However, during really busy periods (e.g. Christmas), please allow up to 28 days for your return or exchange to be processed. Please note that refunds for items bought as gifts can only be given to the original payer and if you decide to swap an item, we can't stop the payer knowing.

Stock Availability

We do our best to keep all items in stock. However, some items sell out faster than anticipated and can be subject to production delays.
If an item is out of stock we will advise as to when we expect delivery and, if you still wish to place your order, we will dispatch it as soon as possible. If there is any further delay, we will notify you via email and ask you to reconfirm your order.

Carriers

We use the following carriers:

  • DHL - for shipments within Australia and most international destinations
  • Courier Post - for most domestic (New Zealand) orders

These are all reputable firms with good track records.

So Where is my Order?

Tracking and Tracing
All orders can be tracked and traced, to a greater or lesser extent.  Tracking information will usually be emailed to you when your order is despatched.

Delays in Transit
Every now and then, an order is delayed in transit.  When that occurs, we are not always the first to know, but rest assured that once we become aware of the delay, we will do whatever we can to get things moving.

Clearance Delays
Delays due to officialdom are rare, but sadly out of our control.  The customs officers in some jurisdictions seem to consider it their patriotic duty to ensure that no foreign goods pass unhindered (you know who you are) while most are mercifully benign.  We do what we can to expedite the progress of each consignment and for some countries (including Australia and the USA) we have formal arrangements in place to ensure that duty is not raised.

In the event that duty is payable on your order, then unfortunately it is payable by you, the importer (see below) and is not payable by Coast.

Pricing and Currency

The prices displayed in the shopping area of this website (i.e. before you reach the check-out area) are determined by your location.  The actual prices, shipping charges and government sales taxes payable at check-out will vary according to shipping address that you select during the check-out process.

During the check-out process, the website will automatically determine the most cost-effective delivery options available to you, based upon the billing and shipping information that you provide.

Once you have entered a shipping address for your order – and before you are asked to enter any payment details - the total price including any sales tax (GST) and shipping charges will be displayed for your approval.

Calculating Shipping Charges

Domestic and local courier charges are calculated automatically using the following formula:

(Total Weight x Cost per Kg) + Base Cost

Base costs vary according to your shipping address.
Weight is based on volumetric weight (which is how the couriers charge us)

Delivery Times

New Zealand and Australia: Items despatched by standard delivery should arrive within 5 days of our receipt of your order, but please allow up to 30 days during our busiest period from December through January.

Rest of the World:  We welcome overseas orders to the rest of the world and can arrange delivery virtually anywhere, worldwide.  Items dispatched from New Zealand by international courier should arrive within 14 days of our receipt of your order, but please allow up to 30 days during our busiest period from December through January.

If you are overseas, we recommend that you check local availability before ordering online, as you are likely to save yourself time and money (see Stockists).

GST, Customs and Duty

Australia and New Zealand
Deliveries within Australia and New Zealand are subject to GST (which is included in the total price payable on check-out), but are not subject to any additional customs charges or duties.

USA
Deliveries within to the USA are not usually subject to customs charges or duty. Coast has applied for and obtained the following ruling from US Customs and Border Protection:

"The applicable subheading for the bean bag chair covers will be 9401.90.5020, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) … The rate of duty will be free"

Rest of the World
If your order is to be delivered outside New Zealand, Australia or the USA it may attract import duty and local sales taxes that must be paid upon receipt of the shipment. These rules vary by country and region and are determined by local governmental agencies.
